tendons, ligaments, muscles). Osteoarthritis and low back pain are rheumatic diseases found in women before and after menopause. The main objective of this study was to demonstrate the reliability of clinical observations made as well as the clinical evaluation of phytomedicine used in African medicine for the treatment of osteoarthritis and/or low back pain in women before and after menopause. This was a prospective study that lasted 9 months, only patients aged at least 30 years suffering from rheumatism before and after menopause and. For this purpose, our sample consisted of 130 patients suffering from osteoarthritis and/or low back pain who came for consultation in this clinic. These patients were subjected to the HANCHOSTM phytomedicine. Then the clinical follow-up of the patients was done per month of consultation and consisted of controlling the symptoms of osteoarthritis and low back pain at the latter. Out of total of 130 patients, the most affected by rheumatism were those age was between [35 – 39], [45- 49], [50-64], with the percentages of 32, 5%; 35%; 67, 9% respectively. Asthenia, headache, joint and muscle pain, cramps, insomnia, and sciatic pain are symptoms that were more observed. At the end of the study, 120 patients were cured by the disappearance of the symptoms of rheumatism, ie a cure percentage of 92, 31% of the sample. These results demonstrate the effectiveness of the Phytomedicine used for the treatment. With a sample consisted of 130 patients, phase 3 of the clinical evaluation of the used phytomedecine HANCHOS TM has ended up. This phase is a key step in the standardization of drugs.
