Geohelminths constitute a real public health problem in developing countries such as Cameroon. Soil-transmitted helminth infestations are widespread in areas where adequate sanitation is lacking and the soil moist enough to allow the survival of parasitic eggs and larvae. These facts ensure parasite transmission through contaminated soil or food. To update epidemiological data on soil-transmitted helminth infestations in Dschang city, the prevalence and intensity of intestinal infestations of soil-transmitted helminths was determine from schools patients who have been consulted in the University’s Medico-Social Center and the Saint-Constant clinic.
Sample stools from 211 people were analyzed by the Kato-Katz method for the detection of parasitic eggs. At the end of the study, five people (2.37%) were positive.0 Infections dues to Ascaris (0.95%) and Hookworms (1.9%) were recorded. A case of bi-parasitism (0.47%) was discovered. Only people aged between 16 and 30 were parasitized, and this group included students who were more parasitized, followed by pupils. Women were more parasitized than men. For the infestation intensities, they were low for all the parasites found.
The city of Dschang is not very endemic due to previous treatments but a risk exists because a majority of the population remains in the practice of fieldwork. The intensification of health education campaigns among the population would delay the multiplication of this parasitosis.

Keys words: Geohelminths, Ascaris, Hookworms, Dschang, prevalence, intensity.
